Mike Ellis

Assistant Vice President, Student Affairs /
Executive Director, Lory Student Center

Mike Ellis originally hails from southern California where he attended the University of California, Irvine. After receiving a MA in college student personnel administration from the University of Maryland at College Park and his first professional experience in the college union, Ellis relocated west to assume responsibilities as the director of the Union at Weber State University. During part of his eight year tenure at Weber State, Ellis attended the University of Utah and received his Doctor of Education degree in educational leadership, with a concentration in higher education. Ellis and his wife, Maria, have three children, Ryan, Joanie, and Jeffrey. His hobbies include camping, fishing, and supporting his children's many sporting and artistic endeavors.

Robert Peters

Director of Business & Dining Services

Robert Peters has been at Colorado State University since 1997. With more than 24 years of management experience in auxiliary services in higher education, he enjoys the daily operational challenges of a vibrant student center. Married with three sons, he enjoys his "down-time" with his family skiing, sailing, and rejuvenating classic Mustang cars.

Karen McCormick

Budget and Special Projects Coordinator

Karen McCormick has been involved in budgets and special projects in the Lory Student Center for more than 25 years. Her special project work has included being part of the Transit Center renovation team, the LSC 40th Anniversary, and flood recovery of the Lory Student Center. She also coordinates a comprehensive budget process for the LSC consisting of approximately $24 million. McCormick is a member of the Lory Student Center Governing Board as a staff representative and values her work with and on behalf of students. Karen is married; her husband and daughter are longtime employees of CSU as well.

Kathy Krell

Office Manager

Kathy Krell is originally from Lafayette, Indiana, and moved to Fort Collins in 1998. She has a B.S. in organizational leadership from Purdue University and a B.A. in technical journalism from Colorado State University.

Jennifer Fisher, CPA

Manager of Business Services

Jennifer Fisher moved to Colorado from New York in 1997. She received her undergraduate degree in accounting from St. Joseph's College in New York and MBA from Colorado State University. Fisher brings more than 15 years of accounting and finance experience from multiple industries. Fisher and her husband live in Loveland, CO with their two sons.
